Sergey Naryshkin, the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) debunked the notion he attributed to the U.S. State Department, that Russia is about to invade Ukraine. “Yes, I have to calm everyone down, nothing like this is going to happen,” he said on Russian TV on Nov. 27, speaking about the alleged invasion in Ukraine being prepared by Russia. “Overall, everything that is happening around this topic right now is, of course, a kind of a malicious propaganda action of the U.S. Department of State. The Department pumps its allies, top mass media management, heads of U.S. political studies centers full of these lies to make them multiply these lies on and on. And they have inflated a rather large bubble around it,” Naryshkin said, TASS reported.
