Swiss Voters Back Legislation To Require Vax Certificates To Attend Public Events

A strong 62% of Swiss voters came out on Sunday, Nov. 28 to vote in favor of a ballot initiative about requiring vaccination certificates for everyone attending public events. There was an unusually large turnout of 66%. The vote was being watched Europe-wide as a measure of popular sentiment on these matters. Switzerland’s vaccination rate is similar to the rest of Western Europe—about two-thirds of the eligible population.
