In what probably is the highest approval rate at present in all European states, a survey found that up to 82% of the Polish population is in favor of nuclear power. “These are the best results in the history of research carried out since 2012,” said Poland’s Ministry of Climate and Environment, which commissioned the annual poll. The market research company DANAE interviewed what it says is a representative group of 2,148 people aging between 15 and 75 years of age during November.
Results indicated that 74% support nuclear power plants in Poland, with 20% opposed. Asked about construction of a nuclear power plant in their area, 58% said they would support it, with 39% opposed.
