Czech President: Scrap Green Deal, Go for Nuclear Power!

In his traditional Christmas message to the nation, Czech President Milos Zeman said that energy security and affordability is possible only by abandoning the EU Green Deal and expanding nuclear energy capacity. This, he argued, will be key to reversing the sharp rise in electricity and natural gas prices—now on course to rise a further 30 percent and 50 percent in 2022, respectively, according to expert warnings.
