Russia’s foreign intelligence service, the SVR, is charging that the U.S. is bringing ISIS militants from Syria into Ukraine to carry out sabotage operations. “According to the foreign intelligence service’s sources, the United States is actively attracting members of international terrorist organizations, including the Islamic State group, to participate in hostilities in Ukraine in the capacity of mercenaries,” said Sergei Ivanov, the chief of the SVR’s press bureau, reported TASS yesterday.
