Consumer inflation in the U.S. hasn’t noticed yet that the Fed is “acting aggressively” to stop it. We can only await the imposition of NATO-wide sanctions on inflation (otherwise called deep economic recession), which will surely “crush” it.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 9.1% year-on-year as of June, and month to month was 1.3%, the highest month yet – and that’s with “shelter” inflation still being massively faked at about 5.5% for the year. The June CPI figures were notable for electricity (+13.7% for a year) beginning to join gasoline (+60%) for a year. Electricity, of course, is even more universally in use than gasoline in all economies, even this one.
