EU Leaders Also Begin To Feel the Pain

The Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws reports that Prime Minister Alexander de Croo complains of the lack of solidarity within the EU, and blames Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act for favoring the U.S. at Europe’s expense: “We [EU countries] are stealing one another’s candles, while the United States is taking everything away from us behind our backs … we are on the edge of the de-industrialization of Europe.”
