Is Poland directly involved in the war in Ukraine? Yesterday, there were numerous citations of an article in the Turkish daily, Cumhuriyet, reporting that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had managed to negotiate with the Polish authorities the participation of the armed forces of Poland in the conflict in Ukraine. Zelensky met with Polish officials in Warsaw on his way back to Kiev, following his Dec. 21 meeting with President Joe Biden in Washington, D.C. Apparently, the agreements in Poland were reached as a result of Zelensky’s meeting with Biden and a number of key figures in the American elite. The author of the Turkish story, Mehmet Ali Güller, admits a high probability of Poland’s direct involvement in the armed conflict with Russia, according to one account of the Cumhuriyet article posted on the Russophile site, topwar.ru.
