According to polling conducted by Hungarian outfit Századvég, only 9 of the 27 EU member states have majority support for supplying Ukraine with additional weapons. “80 percent of Hungarians, 69 percent of Greeks, 62 percent of Austrians, and 57 percent of Czechs are opposed to the European Union and its Member States supporting Ukraine by buying arms,” they report. Actions taken by governments do not necessarily reflect the desires of the people in the “democratic” EU.
