Belarusian President Alexander Lukaschenko announced, according to Belta news, that two Ukrainian terrorists had been arrested for planning a terror attack on the Russian reconnaissance A-50 stationed at the Belarusian Matchulischtschi military airport. He described that the operation had been planned under the supervision of the Ukrainian SBU and the CIA in Ukraine.

One of the men arrested had in his possession both Russian and Ukrainian passports. He had been recruited six months earlier and had been undergoing training for the operation. The President said the operation reminded him of the earlier attack on Russia’s strategic military airport in Engels.
