The EU’s top censor, EU Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton, former French Finance Minister, warned Twitter yesterday that by Aug. 25, it must have sufficient resources to moderate dangerous content or it would have a problem in Europe. “If the technology is not ready they need to have enough resources to match the gap. I spoke on this specific topic with Elon Musk,” Breton told reporters following a meeting at Twitter headquarters, which included the platform’s new CEO Linda Yaccarino. “I’m not here to tell the company what they have to do. I am the regulator and have to tell them what is the law.”
