Poland’s war-mongering Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has requested that Poland be included in NATO’s Nuclear Sharing Program, so that U.S. tactical nuclear weapons be stationed in Poland post-haste. The NATO program allows the deployment of U.S. nuclear bombs on the territory of other NATO non-nuclear nations.
Morawiecki announced this request in his press conference following the European Council summit today, calling Poland’s appeal in response to Moscow’s decision to station its tactical nuclear arms in neighboring Belarus. “Due to the fact that Russia intends to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, we are … appealing to … NATO to [allow us to] take part in the Nuclear Sharing Program,” the prime minister said.
The final decision on the issue would rest with Washington, Morawiecki said, adding that Warsaw declared its intention to “act quickly in this regard.” Poland “does not want to sit idly by.”
