Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolay Patrushev, stated that “Kiev’s Nazi regime"—which he claimed was invented by Washington and London—"must be replaced,” according to RT. He further said that these forces were being used by the United States for “outright aggression” in their undeclared war against Russia. Patrushev made his remarks during a meeting on June 7 with Belarus Security Council Secretary Aleksandr Volfovich.
Patrushev’s remarks on replacing Kiev’s Nazi regime echo earlier remarks by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, former President of Russia. On May 26, TASS quoted Medvedev as saying that if the incumbent Kiev regime remains in power, “there will be, say, three years of truce, two years of conflict and then everything will go over again.” “The very essence of the neo-Nazi rule in Kiev needs to be eliminated,” he declared.
In that context, there are questions as to the present whereabouts of Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence service (GUR), and Valerii Zaluzhny, the commander in chief of Ukraine’s military. The status of Budanov and Zaluzhny has been the subject of much speculation on the internet, given that there have been no public appearances by the officials since Russian strikes in May targeted sites where they ostensibly had been.
