Anthrax has broken out in Russia’s Voronezh Region, on the border with Ukraine. The governor has declared a state of emergency. Even though anthrax was one of the biowarfare elements mooted for Ukrainian biolabs to deploy across the border, the Russian authorities have made no allegations of biological warfare.
