CORRECTION: A slug in the July 31 morning briefing incorrectly described the Suwalki gap as “that stretch of Polish border with Belarus between Kaliningrad and Ukraine.” The relevant section of the border is actually between Poland and Lithuania and is bookended by Kaliningrad in the north and Belarus in the south.
