As part of President Putin’s pledge at the Russia-Africa Summit in July to export 25,000 to 50,000 tons of grain, free of cost, to Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, the Central African Republic, and Eritrea, a shipment of wheat has been delivered to the Central African Republic, Moscow’s Ambassador Aleksandr Bikantov, told RIA Novosti today.
Russia exported 11.5 million tons of grain to Africa in 2022, despite Western sanctions affecting the supply of Russian food products to developing countries.
