For 28 days in a row, the so-called “Anti-Defamation League” (ADL) has failed to discover, or paid any attention to, what almost every Jewish organization in the world has figured out—one of Adolf Hitler’s Waffen-SS war criminals, Yaroslav Hunka, a man who swore personal allegiance to Hitler, was lauded in front of Canada’s Parliament. However, today they have taken offense to a rally on Capitol Hill against war and genocide, organized by two Jewish groups, “Jewish Voice for Peace” and “IfNotNow.” The ADL, as perhaps only they can do, denounced them as “anti-Semitic.”
The rally against war and genocide was covered, for example, by the Times of Israel as “Jewish anti-war rally in the Capitol drew 10,000,” but the ADL’s statement had a different take: “Protestors have unlawfully occupied the rotunda of the Capitol to protest Israel’s clear right to defend itself against Hamas terrorists. Meredith R. Weisel, ADL DC Regional Director stated, ‘Although they claim to do so, these far-left radical organizations do not represent the overwhelming majority Jewish community. Rather, these groups are anti-Zionists that challenge Israel’s very right to exist. Let’s be very clear—anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism.’ The responsibility for this war is on Hamas.… Hamas aims to destroy the Jewish state and murder all Jews.”
It seems pretty clear by this reasoning, the Jewish anti-war rally was run by anti-Semites.
Otherwise, it should not escape notice that, if the ADL is actually against those who aim to “murder all Jews,” one would think they would have given some notice to the hero worship provided by the Canadian Parliament, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his guest, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to the veteran Waffen-SS soldier, whose “Galizien” unit actually carried out the war crimes of someone who did more than aiming to murder all Jews.
Curious doings these days over at the ADL. Yesterday they issued a second statement, this one warning the media about their allegedly sloppy coverage of the bombing of al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City. The ADL simply declares it a settled “fact” that Palestinians were the source of the damage, so any reportage diverting from what the ADL proclaims as “fact” is ipso facto irresponsible. Of some note, the ADL has not, yet, labeled such reportage as “anti-Semitic,” but they have warned.
