Biden Calls for Money and Weapons for Israel and Ukraine

President Joe Biden addressed the nation tonight, employing a slew of inflaming images to prove that Hamas and Putin are bullies that have to be stopped. “American leadership is what holds the world together” and we must stop the bullies now or it’ll be worse later. Hence, he is submitting to Congress an “urgent budget request” for Israel and Ukraine. He omitted mentioning any money figures (and he also omitted any mention of money for Taiwan’s military or for the southern border of the U.S.).

Otherwise, he asserted, unquestionably, that the bombing of the Gaza hospital “was not done by the Israelis,” having moved from uncertainty yesterday to absolute certainty today—like a salesman pitching for money. On Russia, he went through his litany on “Putin’s all-out invasion. We’ve not forgotten the mass graves, the bodies found bearing signs of torture, rape used as a weapon by the Russians, and the thousands and thousands of Ukrainian children forcibly taken into Russia, stolen from their parents. It’s sick. Hamas and Putin represent different threats, but they share this in common—they both want to completely annihilate a neighboring democracy.…”

So, Putin wants us to quit. “But we’re not withdrawing.” Israel and Ukraine are “vital to our national security.” Putin is a bully that has to be stopped now. “Europe is watching our response in Ukraine. Would-be aggressors around the world” will be impelled ahead if we don’t step forward.
