White House War Mania Freezes Dissent Amongst Officials

After the failure of Ukraine’s vaunted “counteroffensive” left those addicted to war mania depressed, the opportunity to switch the channel and beat up on Palestinians has reinvigorated such addicts. However, Huffington Post (HuffPost) has found, in response to this new outbreak of mania, fear and trembling amongst those in the present administration, especially those with a Muslim background. Consequently, “a real culture of silence” now exists, freezing any actual policy discussions.

HuffPost report that White House personnel director Gautam Raghavan held a call with “current and former high-level Muslim appointees” on Oct. 15. One participant reported that there were two issues—"the risk of increased Islamophobia nationwide and a sense that Muslim staff in the administration were in danger.” HuffPost provided comments from various officials:

One official: This is “the first time in the administration that there was a real culture of silence. It feels like post-9/11 where you feel like your thoughts are being policed, and you’re really afraid of being seen as anti-American or an anti-Semite.”

A career civil servant was worried about criticizing the President: “I feel like there’s no place for me in America anymore, and I’m on thin ice with my clearance because of my heritage and because I care about my people dying.”
