The European Parliament voted 345-104 on Jan. 18 on a resolution condemning the “deliberate, continuous and systematic efforts of the Hungarian government to undermine the founding values of the EU.” The resolution also demands to start a procedure to deprive Hungary of its veto power in the EU.

Is this a demonstration of Europe’s commitment to “democracy”?
