Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson appeared on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s Judging Freedom show, along with his colleague, Ray McGovern, also a former CIA analyst and cofounder of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), to appraise the momentous announcement of the International Court of Justice earlier that day (Jan. 26). Napolitano used various excerpts from the ICJ presentation. All three on the show radiated optimism.
While the half-hour show bears watching in full, of particular note was Johnson’s observation that we are at a special moment in history, when speaking truth to power may well have a chance of tangible, short-term results. After admitting that there was no formal guarantee that the ICJ ruling can make Netanyahu’s administration pull back from genocide, Johnson switched gears.
