Brazilian President Lula da Silva has responded to the battle royale which erupted over his statement in Ethiopia that Israel is doing to the Palestinians what Hitler did to the Jews. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the President of Brazil persona non grata in Israel until he apologized. U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken explained to Lula how he was wrong. Rightwing networks inside Brazil tied to the disgraced former President Jair Bolsonaro are screaming from the rafters against the President in defense of Israel’s actions.
