More Farmer Protests in Spain, Germany, and Moldava

The scale and number of farmers’ protests are increasing in Spain. On Feb. 23, several hundred farmers gathered in multiple cities, including León, Teruel and Pamplona, to demand fairer prices and a more “farmer-friendly Green Deal.” In addition to farmers, various trade unions are planning a major action in Madrid on Feb. 26.

They are also demanding cheap diesel fuel, which Romania had promised for the spring sowing season, but which was never delivered because the Moldovan government claimed it had nowhere to store it.
