San Francisco Voters Reject Ban on Eighth Grade Algebra

March 6, 2024 (EIRNS)—The assault on education has been dealt a blow by San Francisco voters, who overwhelmingly (84% to 16%) voted for Proposition G, which supports offering algebra classes for eighth graders.

In recent years, the school district has only offered algebra starting in ninth grade, which makes it essentially impossible to take calculus in high school.
