Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to visit Ukraine in the third week of August, the WION news channel reported today, citing diplomatic sources. Modi could propose India’s mediation to settle the Ukraine conflict with Russia.
“India may offer mediation on the matter of settling the Ukrainian crisis. Such a proposal can be made during Modi’s visit to Ukraine,” an unnamed source told TASS, the news agency reported today. “India has long-standing friendly relations with Russia and the Prime Minister has good relations established with President Vladimir Putin. India at the same time also has good relations with Ukraine. Both sides have trust in India,” he stressed.
