While Rishi Sunak’s seat was still warm, the U.K.’s new Prime Minister Keir Starmer was on the phone with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, assuring him of Britain’s undying support. Zelenskyy posted on X yesterday that the two “coordinated positions” ahead of the July 9-11 NATO Summit and discussed further strengthening of their “partnership. He added: “I am grateful to Prime Minister Starmer for reaffirming the U.K.’s principled and unwavering support for Ukraine.” Starmer then posted on his webpage Zelenskyy’s comments and added: “Ukraine’s ongoing fight against Russian aggression matters to all of us. The U.K.’s support remains unshakable.”
