Zelenskyy and Trump Hold Phone Discussion, Plan to Meet

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone discussion July 19 with U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Zelenskyy congratulated him on his Republican Party nomination. Zelenskyy tweeted in concluding his X account statement: “We have agreed to discuss in a personal meeting exactly what steps can make peace fair and truly lasting.”
