”United Against Nuclear Iran” (UANI), a group driven by British Special Forces and intelligence and the Israeli Mossad, and whose advisory board includes the likes of John Bolton and which yesterday announced that Jeb Bush is its new chairman, demanded yesterday for the United States government to bomb Iran, to “strike a vast array of military targets inside Iran” and perhaps Iranian officials as well, should Iran respond militarily to the Israeli assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on July 31. UANI, which works with the anti-Iranian terrorist organization Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK), despite holding a 501(c)3 tax exempt status, had endorsed the Haniyeh assassination in its August 1 press release. Since its founding in 2008, this group has co-drafted a good portion of the U.S. Congress’s rabid anti-Iran legislation.
Mark Wallace, the CEO of UANI, released the following statement yesterday:
“We applaud the redeployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln and other air and naval assets in response to the Iranian regime’s threats to attack Israel. Nevertheless, the U.S. must no longer pursue ‘don’t do it’ or ‘take the win’ policies, which have emboldened the Iranian regime and put the region on the precipice of war. The U.S. must make it absolutely clear that should Iran’s regime attack Israel—either directly or indirectly through its proxies—that the U.S. will strike a vast array of military targets inside Iran.
“The U.S. must deter aggression with clear statements and rules of engagement that include any and all military targets inside Iran. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei needs to know that there will be severe military consequences for the IRGC if it decides to attack Israel. At this stage, this is the only measure that can change Khamenei’s calculus and lead to de-escalation.”
Wallace wrote on Aug. 1 in “UANI Statement on Ismail Haniyeh’s Death in Iran”:
“We remain concerned that American failures to deter Iran and its ‘Axis of Resistance’—which Iran’s regime refers to its coalition of terror proxies—has made the likelihood of escalation and war far greater.” The U.S. “ambiguity emboldens Iran and its proxies…. The U.S. strike against Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq this week was not enough…. The United States must use force to prevent an escalation. Failure to do so will lead to the very escalation American leadership seeks to avoid….
“In the coming days, the United States should be … making clear to Tehran that any reprisals will be met with decisive action against senior Islamic Republic leaders and IRGC targets on Iranian soil. The era of Iranian impunity must come to an end.”
[EIR has exposed]((https://eir.news/2023/10/news/uani-calls-for-missile-strikes-on-iran-that-would-push-the-world-off-the-charts-toward-nuclear-war/) the British and Israeli domination of UANI’s policymaking via its Advisory Board.
Advisory Board member neo-con John Bolton was U.S. National Security Advisor under President Trump from April 2018 through September 2019. Before and after his NSC post, Bolton has been a prominent UANI spokesman and decision-maker. Former Director of Central Intelligence and U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, after delivering the keynote addresses to UANI 2018 and 2019 national conferences, organized the illegal assassination in Baghdad of Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani on January 3, 2020. While Bolton may no longer have leverage with Donald Trump, for Secretary of State Pompeo has been angling for Trump’s ear. And former Trump challenger Nikki Haley, UANI’s most well-funded political candidate, may try to leverage her present support of Trump for such crazy adventurism.
