The government of Niger has broken relations with Ukraine, which follows a similar move by Niger’s ally and neighbor, Mali, after it was exposed that Ukrainian soldiers were fighting alongside ethnic Tuareg separatists and ISIS affiliated terrorists in a recent attack on Mali security forces and a member of the Russian Wagner private military company.
According to Amadou Abdramane, spokesman for the Niger military government, Niamey called the UN Security Council to make a ruling on Ukraine’s aggression, TASS reports.
