Ukrainian forces have free rein to use all British weapons in their assault inside Russia’s Kursk region. “If this invasion is designed to go after the logistics and infrastructure that was supporting the invasion of Ukraine, then it is perfectly legitimate” to use British weapons, former U.K. Defense Secretary Ben Wallace told The Times of London yesterday. He was apparently referring to permissions that were granted during his time in office.
Wallace’s green light was confirmed by an unnamed Ministry of Defense spokeswoman. “There has been no change in U.K. government policy,” she said. “Under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Ukraine has a clear right of self-defense against Russia’s illegal attacks. That does not preclude operations inside Russia.”
