Finnish President Insists, No NATO Nukes on Finnish Soil

Finland has reportedly said that it will not accept NATO nuclear weapons on its soil. When asked whether Finland was planning to deploy nuclear weapons in connection with joining the Alliance, Finnish President Alexander Stubb responded categorically during an interview with Radio Suomi. “No. They don’t want it and they don’t ask for it,” he said, referring to NATO.

Thus, Finland, while remaining part of NATO, will continue its policy aimed at minimizing the nuclear risk on its territory, comments Avia.pro.
