It is a foregone conclusion that the least of two evils in the U.S. presidential election will not be capable, left to their own devices, of taking the simple step of having the country step away from addiction to a “gambling casino” economy, and embrace the economic mobilization of science, industry, and agriculture found in the new Global Majority of the BRICS. If they are left to their own devices, one could perhaps dodge a thermonuclear confrontation over Ukraine and stumble into one over Israel, or vice versa; or if the collapse of the dollar should occur before an explosion in Ukraine or Israel, then a nuclear conflagration could erupt without the use of a proxy.
The obvious challenge, for both U.S. citizens and for all other countries, is to not leave the next U.S. President to their own devices.
At 11:00 a.m. ET on Oct. 30, there will be a live discussion with Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the founder of the Schiller Institute, on the theme, “The BRICS Summit and the End of 500 Years of Colonialism.” It should address the challenge as to how to not leave the next U.S. President to their own devices.
Last Saturday, Oct. 26, Zepp-LaRouche identified why the BRICS Summit is your friend: “They are building a great, New Development Bank of the Global South, a new Investment platform, a new BRICS grain exchange, and other institutions, which will help them to grow. It is the most urgent task for reestablishing world peace that the United States supports this effort. We must remember that the American War of Independence was the first anti-colonial war in history, by establishing independence of America from the British Empire.”
In follow-up discussions with associates yesterday, she further declared: “We have to absolutely make clear that the only way how the danger of a Third World War can be overcome, is that we have to get the collective West—that’s the United States and the European nations—to stop their silly geopolitical confrontation against this new majority of the world. After all, the BRICS, as they are now, represents 4.7 billion people, and 57% of the world’s population, and there are many more countries in line waiting to join. And it would be foolish to the point of insanity, if the West would continue to oppose that.”
Yesterday, at an event to celebrate a century of Franco-Russian diplomatic relations, Pierre de Gaulle, the grandson of former French President Gen. Charles de Gaulle, proposed that the European Union should wake up to the new reality and join the BRICS. He stated that “a new multipolar world is being born, a real dynamic led by Russia with other countries like China and India. It is a reality, it is a powerful economic, financial, diplomatic, humanitarian alternative. And it is in France’s interest to join it for its own development…. BRICS is a natural alliance of countries that want to develop together, but in their own way, in which everyone respects each other. That is why the BRICS will succeed, and it is essential that France, like other EU countries, joins it.”
Today, the editors of China’s semi-official Global Times wrote that, at last week’s BRICS summit, the meeting of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and China’s President Xi Jinping, after agreeing to put their border dispute on ice, “has profound implications for Asian geopolitics and the emerging multipolar world order…. The ‘not easy’ path forward involves balancing multiple imperatives. This means maintaining strategic autonomy for India while addressing economic necessities. It demonstrates a willingness to engage in dialogue for joint development with China.” And, one might add, it undermines the ability of London and Washington to manipulate the world’s two largest populations against each other and, hence, to sabotage the BRICS and the global majority.
Also last week on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, EIR correspondents asked an advisor to Russian President Putin Anton Kobyakov about the potential of the BRICS “to change the outlook of the Anglo-American elites, to participate positively in developing a new security and development architecture, as proposed by Helga Zepp-LaRouche of the Schiller Institute?” He was on the same page, answering: “Indeed, we hope very much for that—that they will take part in hammering out, so to speak, peace initiatives. Our President talks about that, always.”
Today, President Vladimir Putin announced a full nuclear military exercise, with drills simulating the actions that top officials need to carry out in a nuclear war. Missiles were fired from submarines, from strategic bombers, and from land. The Defense Ministry announced that “all missiles reached their targets.”
Clearly, Putin hopes for the best, yet prepares for the worst. Contrary to rumors, Moscow doesn’t control how Westerners manage their political affairs. The choice is clear. Do not leave immature heads of state to their own devices.
