According to a brief account by Al Arabiya News Oct. 22, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that day that all of Iran’s neighboring countries had pledged not to allow the use of their “soil or airspace” by Israel for an imminent attack on Iran. Araghchi made the statement after visiting Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, and Türkiye; Jordan and Syria had previously said that they would deny their airspace to Israel for such an attack.
“All our neighbors have assured us that they won’t allow their soil or airspace to be used against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Araghchi was quoted from a press conference in Kuwait. He also said, “We are monitoring closely the movements of American bases in the region and are aware of all their movements and flights.”
