It is useful to look at some physical-economic parameters of the new BRICS Plus, by considering the contributions of the 13 new Partner Nations of the BRICS, along with those of the 9 existing BRICS Members. These are far better indicators of the group’s real economic potential than the often-cited 40% share of global GDP, which is an inherently flawed monetary measure which gives equal weight to productive, unproductive, and downright destructive “economic” activities. We also emphasize that the physical production parameters noted below are only shadows of the real driving force of physical economy, which is leaps in technological platforms and their impact on the productive powers of labor (real productivity), as Lyndon LaRouche demonstrated.
