Russia's Zakharova Takes on BoJo’s Blather and Britain's Role vs. Russia

The British Empire’s former Prime Minister Boris Johnson weighed in on Nov. 11 on the alleged Russian threat to conquer the Baltics, Georgia, and unnamed parts of Europe. As the U.S. may pull back, “a resurgent Russia threatening all sorts of parts of Europe” must be confronted by Britain—including its possibly sending British troops into Ukraine. He warned in his remarks to GBNews, “Donald Trump has lots of different voices in his ears and ... quite a lot of them actually, who take the wrong line on Ukraine.”

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, doesn’t suffer fools lightly. Reported RT.com, she immediately told Izvestia the same day: “Having ceded power, Johnson continues to provoke and incite” as it is the only type of behavior he is capable of. She noted that Johnson was one of the leading voices in the West’s sanctions war against Russia, and that in April 2022 he personally traveled to Ukraine to “talk the Kiev regime out of negotiating” with Russia.
