The magazine Focus has drafted a partial list of government subsidies to Green Transition projects that failed—incinerating billions of Euros that could have gone to reasonable social investments:
€600 million for the Northvolt battery factory in North-Rhine Westphalen was totally lost, after Northvolt filed insolvency;
€10 billion for an Intel chip factory in Magdeburg, which has been postponed indefinitely:
€1 billion for the Wolfspeed semiconductors production line in Saarland, also postponed;
€5 billion for a TSMC chip making factory in Dresden—incredibly not yet postponed;
