Scott Ritter, former Marines intelligence officer and former UN weapons inspector in Iraq in 2003, gave an extensive interview on Dec. 31 with the “Dialogue Works” YouTube channel hosted by Nima Alkhorshid, in which he reiterated his advice to the incoming President-elect Donald Trump, “Trump has to understand, and somebody really needs to sit down and whisper to him that the best way to solve this thing [the Russia–Ukraine conflict] is to shut up and just get the hell out of there [Ukraine] with minimal fuss.”
“I think the Russians have made it clear that there’s no latitude for them … this war will be terminated on terms that are acceptable to Russia.”
