March 24, 2025 (EIRNS)—Britain’s mealy-mouthed new Ambassador to Washington Lord Peter Mandelson, appeared on Newsmax on March 24 to put lipstick on the pig, namely the proposed “coalition of the willing,” referring to so-called peacekeeper troops that Prime Minister Starmer wants to deploy to Ukraine. Mandelson is hyping the narrative that the proposal is actually a “second track” of the policy being worked out by President Trump in bringing Russia and Ukraine together in peace talks, which Mandelson, of course, praised to high heavens.
“What we don’t want is that there is ceasefire, it lasts six months and then the Russians come again,” Mandelson said, claiming that such a force would serve as a deterrent to any Russian moves against Ukraine. “So one track is going on in Saudi Arabia, and one track is going on in Europe, and they both support each other,” Mandelson said.
