March 8, 2025 (EIRNS)—German industry is starting 2025 with the sharpest drop in orders for a year. Orders fell by 7.0% in January compared to the previous month, according to the Federal Statistical Office. Economists had only expected a decline of 2.8%, following a revised increase of 5.9% in December.
