March 12, 2025 (EIRNS)—Bruno Kahl, who heads Germany’s foreign intelligence agency BND, told Deutsche Welle that if the war in Ukraine ends too soon, the threat to Europe will increase. He proclaimed, “An early end to the war in Ukraine will enable the Russians to use their energy where they actually want it, namely against Europe.
“We have seen hybrid influence operations, including during the elections that took place in Europe, right up to acts of sabotage ... in a manner that is unprecedented in the recent past.”
