Russian TV Covers Churchill's 1945 Push for War against Russia

March 8, 2025 (EIRNS)—Russian TV-1 carried a five-minute story on their 8:00 p.m. evening news today about Winston Churchill’s attempts to begin a war against Russia immediately after the conclusion of World War II. The network also showed recently released British documents, which were translated on screen, that included instructions to British military commanders, telling them to be prepared for an imminent conflict with their Russian “allies,” even urging them to keep Nazi Wehrmacht forces ready enough to participate in any upcoming action. With the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II this year, Russia President Vladimir Putin had authorized the release of previously unseen documents that reveal the causes of the Great Patriotic War.
