March 26, 2025 (EIRNS)—In a March 24 address to the nation, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa dismissed as a “completely false narrative” allegations that the white minority in his country is being persecuted. Ramaphosa didn’t name names, but his speech came one day after Elon Musk reiterated that South Africa is “anti-white.” Musk was born in South Africa. Trump has also stated as much as the justification for cutting U.S. financial aid to South Africa. The South African government has insisted that the Trump administration is “misinformed,” and expressed a desire to have cooperative relations with the United States.
