March 1, 2025 (EIRNS)—The State Department announced its approval of more arms sales to Israel yesterday amounting to about $3 billion. The announcement came in three tranches. The first was for 35,529 Mk 84/BLU-117 2,000 lb. bomb casings, along with 4,000 penetrator warheads, valued at $2.04 billion. The second was for 5,000 Mk 83/BLU-110 1,000 lb. bomb casings, along with 5,000 GPS guidance kits for them, worth $675.7 million. The third was of an unspecified number of Caterpillar D9 bulldozers, at an estimated cost of $295 million.
