U.S.-Russian Discussions on Space Cooperation Took Place Today

Roscosmos Director-General Dmitri Bakanov held meetings at Baikonur Space Center on April 7 with NASA Deputy Administrator for Space Programs Kenneth Bowersoxon further cooperation between the two agencies. The topics of discussion included cooperation on the ISS, the upcoming manned launch on April 8 with two cosmonauts and one American astronaut, and the organizing of a joint celebration of the anniversary of the Soyuz-Apollo docking. This year is the 50th anniversary of this important collaborative effort of the countries’ two space agencies, which took place July 17, 1975.
