Keith Kellogg, President Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine, last week tried to pressure Trump, in league with the “Coalition of the Willing” (U.K., France and Germany), to ignore his May 19 two-hour discussion with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin, by insisting upon the “unconditional ceasefire.” That attempt was soundly rebuffed by Trump. Yesterday, Kellogg appeared on Fox News, and continued his sabotage efforts with deliberate mischaracterizations of the Istanbul talks.
Kellogg stated that Russia had senselessly killed “women and children” over the weekend, that Russia’s “shelling of cities” and “indiscriminate violence” (a charge he repeated on X) meant that Trump had to “continually apply pressure to Russia.” Kiev, according to Kellogg, was being fully cooperative.
