Beware Warmongers Senator Graham, Mark Levin Setting Trap for War with Iran!

Sen. Lindsey “I love war!” Graham told Jewish Insider yesterday that he is preparing to introduce a Senate resolution demanding full dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program, perhaps as soon as this Thursday. That is, he’s out to ensure that no peace will ever be negotiated with Iran—and war results.

When he first announced the resolution in a May 8 press conference with co-sponsors Sens. Katie Britt (R-AL) and Tom Cotton (R-AR), Graham stated bluntly that he believes “the only way to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon is for them to completely dismantle and destroy their entire nuclear program.” That’s the intent; the initial resolution just specified that Iran must “forgo domestic uranium enrichment, the reprocessing of spent fuel, and the development or possession of any enrichment or reprocessing infrastructure or capacity.” Graham told Jewish Insider that he is consulting the final wording with the White House and Israeli leadership before releasing the text, and hopes the resolution will receive a floor vote by next week.

Earlier, Tucker Carlson had warned on June 4, that Fox News’ hyper-conservative Mark Levin had been at the White House that day, “lobbying for war with Iran,” claiming Iran is only weeks away from producing a nuclear weapon—which it is not. “So why is Mark Levin once again hyperventilating about weapons of mass destruction?,” Carlson asks, and answers: “People like Mark Levin … insist that Iran give up all uranium enrichment, regardless of its purpose. They know perfectly well that Iran will never accept that demand. They’ll fight first. And of course that’s the whole point of pushing for it: to box the Trump administration into a regime change war in Iran.”

This crowd is setting a trap for you, he warns President Trump. “A war with Iran would amount to a profound betrayal of his supporters. It would end his presidency. That may explain why so many of Trump’s enemies are advocating for it.”

Worse, a regime change war could lead to world war, Carlson explains. Iran is part of the BRICS, “which represents the majority of the world’s landmass, population, economy and military power;” it has extensive military ties with Russia and sells most of its oil to China. “Iran isn’t alone. An attack on Iran could very easily become a world war. We’d lose.”
