The June 20 TLO Symposium hosted by The LaRouche Organization President Diane Sare featured EIR economist and historian Richard Freeman on Winston Churchill’s plan for “total war” against Russia. Churchill’s plan was outlined in a May 22, 1945 document entitled “Operation Unthinkable” produced by the “Joint Planning Staff” under Prime Minister and Defence Minister Winston Churchill.

It is impossible in a short space to do justice to Freeman’s devastating exposé which included dozens of slides of segments of the report and quotes from Churchill himself, but minimally the following points should be known, which underscore the urgency of getting this exposé out everywhere.

• Churchill proposed that the date for “opening of hostilities” against Russia be July 1, 1945! (He was later gleeful about the prospects to accomplish that more rapidly with a nuclear bomb, provided the Russians didn’t have one.)
