Nuclear Regulatory Commission Reverses Decision on Condemned Plant

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission revealed on July 24, that it has approved a series of licensing and regulatory actions that will pave the way for restart of the Palisades Nuclear Plant in Michigan. The pressurized-water reactor located in Covert, Michigan, ceased operations in May 2022. This is said to be a first for a commercial reactor.
