Three U.S. B-1B bombers arrived in Ørland, Norway, last weekend for a bomber task force mission that may last a month or longer. The B-1B fleet was stripped of its nuclear capability in the 1990s but the supersonic bombers are still often used for strategic messaging. Ørland is located on the Norwegian coast about 425 km north of Oslo, and is the main base for Norway’s F-35 fleet.
