In an historic Oct. 14 meeting with top officials from his government on the topic of U.S.-Belarusian relations, President Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed support for U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts (despite shortcomings) to resolve the Middle East conflict. He also said that Belarus was “ready for a big deal with the United States,” as long as Belarusian interests are “taken into account.”
